“Pomegranate of Commandments”

The pomegranate seeds appear as Hebrew letters hinting at the notion of the holiness of language, similar to the idea that James Joyce had for “Ulysses”. Language is the martial art of our human spiritual eyes.

Based on Jewish mystical scripture a pomegranate is the symbol of 613 commandments in the Torah. The relationships between the different commandments in the Torah are represented by the different branches and roots. The branches growing upwards symbolize our connection to the highest power, while the branches growing in the opposite direction symbolize relationships between people.

The path inside the pomegranate begins with dark colours but becomes golden at the end, representing the exodus of the Israelites from slavery.

“Channel Tree”

“Channel Tree” represents freedom and transcendence. The tree is the equilibrium between two worlds. In one world the branches are growing downwards, carrying bright blossoms becoming stars. In the other world the branches are growing upwards reaching the sky. The two leaves on the right represent union. The fish jumps out of the water onto the clouds with an inner eye consisting of clouds and a spiral symbolizing spiritual growth. The tree itself is a light channel connecting earth and the world above.
