Rabbi Lisa J. Grushcow, D.Phil., is the senior rabbi of Temple Emanu-El-Beth Sholom, the Reform synagogue of Montreal. Born in Ottawa, raised in Toronto, and a graduate of McGill, she was happy to return to Canada after receiving her doctorate from Oxford and her rabbinic ordination from HUC-JIR in New York, and serving Rodeph Sholom in Manhattan. She is author, editor, and contributor to numerous books, but needs to keep writing so she has enough to dedicate to her wife and kids.
