Irina Sheynfeld

Irina Sheynfeld grew up in Odessa, Ukraine where she studied puppet making, painting, and sculpture at Odessa Theater College. Just before the Soviet Union collapsed she moved to New York City with her family and continued her studies at Parsons School of Design. Sheynfeld holds a MA in Modern and Contemporary Art and Market from Christie's Education, she also earned BFA from Parsons School of Design and an MFA from the School of Visual Arts. In April 2022, Sheynfeld organized and curated a Benefit for Ukraine at Ceres Gallery in Manhattan, where almost 20K were raised and 100 per cent of sales were donated to Odessa Peace Fund.  Sheynfeld has had solo exhibitions and her work was included in numerous juried group shows such as Ceres Gallery, The Amstelkerk, Amsterdam, Netherlands, and Nave Annex, MA. Sheynfeld is a recipient of the COJECO’s Blueprint Fellowship and Grant. She was selected to be NYC Piano Artist for Sing for Hope Piano project in 2017, 2018, and 2021. Sheynfeld writes an art-events blog on Magpie, and lives in New York City with her husband, three kids, and a dog.
