Cantor Deborah Katchko-Gray is a fourth-generation cantor and the second to serve a Conservative congregation. She is the Founder ( 1982) and Past President of the Women Cantors’ Network. Katchko-Gray has served Congregation Shir Shalom of Westchester and Fairfield Counties since l999 and has been honoured by the congregation for her 10th, 13th and 18th years. She was chosen as one of the Jewish Ledger’s Movers and Shakers in 2009. Katchko-Gray is the first recipient of the Debbie Friedman Miriam Award given by Miriam’s Table Women’s Seder and Chasing Light Speakers.
Cantor Francyne Davis Jacobs is a cantor, educator and music teacher from in Houston, TX. She earned her undergraduate degrees from Brandeis University in Music and in Near Eastern and Judaic Studies; she earned her MA in Jewish Music (Cantorial degree) and MA in Jewish Education from Gratz College, where she served as valedictorian. Francyne has served congregations in Pennsylvania, New Jersey and all over southeast Texas, including being the first professional cantor at Temple Rodef Torah in Marlboro, NJ. She has served as a cantor for over 25 years and is the current President of the Women Cantors' Network.
